TSTE Festive Illuminations
40th Anniversary Photo Contest

Techniques & Tips:

How to take a good shot of festive illuminations?
• Switch to the night mode or use a slow shutter to obtain the best exposure time.
• A high ISO setting may create ‘noisy shots’. 200/400 is recommended
• Use a tripod to free the trouble of blurred images caused by hand shake and
camera shake.

How to shoot the illuminative displays reducing models to a silhouette?
• Choose the background followed by the location of model.
• Models can walk closer to the camera instead of the selected building.
• Try "low angle shot" to shoot something different!

Tips for you!
• Keep the lens clean before shooting.
• Adjust the exposure time according to the weather and the environment.
• Make good use of a tripod or railings to stabilize the camera.
• Get your battery fully-charged!
